On Thursday 1 Oct 09, Engine 821 responded emergency traffic from quarters to a reported car fire in the parking lot of Wal Mart. Captain Still was first on scene and confirmed a car fire with no other exposures. Captain Bostain was also on scene to assist with the post fire investigation. Captain Lewis and FF1 Polk extinguished the fire with FF2 Thompson operating as the driver/pumper operator of engine 821. Cause of fire was determined to be a leaky power steering pump.
