"Zoo Crew" cleared Battery Creek High School of it's third call for an odor in less than a week today.  Today's call was the third and contributed to a malfunctioning A/C unit in a classroom.

In a series of calls for service at the high school, this third one was cleared in a little under an hour.  The first call was for an unusual haze in a hallway and patient complaining of a burning sensation on her face.  This call was traced back to cleaning chemicals being used on the floors.

The following morning, a call was received at Burton Hill to investigate a "bomb" that has already detonated at the school and check it for chemical or biological agents.  Deputy Chief Webb and Captain Still responded and met with the school resource officer.  The improvised explosive device (IED) was taken to the Parris Island FD for analysis.  it was found to be a simple "soda' bomb.  See the link for a video on these dangerous devices.
