The Burton Fire District has added a new weapon to their arsenal. Each of the five first out engine companies were given an Akron Mercury Ground Monitor. This new monitor will deliver up to 500 gallons per minute in a "quick attack" monitor for both offensive and defensive operations.
With the rapid growth taking place in the Burton/Beaufort/Port Royal area and the mult-story residential and commercial buildings that appear to go up overnight we are always looking for more progressive ways to get ahead of the "dragon." Look for this new weapon in service around the district.
