The conference was a huge success as the line up of instructors and presenters, including two of our own, rivaled the best conferences across the country.  Captain Matt Maichel and Firefighters John Perry and Jon Calcorzi competeed in the Firefighter Combat Challenge.  Chief Harry Rountree received his Hall of Fame Award from the SC State Firefighter's Association as well.  And finally, the Burton Fire District received a Meritoriuos Unit Citation for the response to the April 2007 Blue Angels crash.
