February 5, 2007 was a first for the fire service in Beaufort County. Today 17 firefighter candidates started the first ever 8 week Beaufort County
Firefighter Candidate School. 17 candidates from Bluffton, Sheldon,
Beaufort, Lady's Island-St. Helena and Jasper County Fire Rescue came to
Pinewood to begin their 8 week journey to Firefighter II. More to come as
the class continues.
