You know it is spring when the Easter Bunny appears at the Beaufort County Fair Grounds for the VFW Easter Festival. The Easter Bunny arrived code-3 with the crew of Engine 821 to an excited group of smiling children.

Burton Fire District Participates in Annual Beaufort Christmas Parade - Dec 10, 2007 - 8:28:00 AM
The Burton Fire District participated in Beaufort's Annual Christmas Parade yesterday afternoon by placing three trucks in the procession.  The parade was a big hit with the thousands of people lined up along the parade route in the almost 80 degree temperatures.

The sun hadn't set yet but it was trick or treat time on Market Street in Habersham.  All of the merchants opened their doors for children to collect their halloween goodies as they paraded up and down the street.

Burton firefighters were invited to the Beaufort Fun Park and given the opportunity to experience first hand the way the Fun Park helps make people aware of the dangers of driving under the influence. It is known as the DUI Experience.

Sparky Visits Broad River Elementary - Oct 19, 2007 - 1:30:00 PM
Burton and Beaufort Fire Departments teamed up today to present a fire safety education program to students at Broad River Elementary.  The highlight of the event was a surprise visit from Sparky the fire dog.
