Full-Time Firefighter All applicants will be contacted and invited to participate in a candidate testing process which consists of a written test, a physical ability test, a panel interview, a chief's interview, a medical exam, and a background check. Only candidates who successfully pass all phases of testing will be considered for employment by the Burton Fire District. You may obtain an application by visiting our headquarters station at 36 Burton Hill Road or you may print one online by clicking on the web link below. Information regarding upcoming candidate testing will be posted here when it becomes available. Volunteer Firefighter The Burton Fire District also has a very active volunteer firefighter program. If you do not wish to become a full-time firefighter or if you would like to join our team at a time when no full-time positions are available, please consider our volunteer program. Volunteers supplement our full-time staff and are a valuable resource to our department. All training and equipment are provided by the department. No new volunteers are being accepted at this time. Other Positions Occasionally other employment opportunities will arise within the Burton Fire District. Please check back for current openings.
